Most of the year on the Isle of Man there are just those usual day to day activities. This is until those two weeks a year that it is bursting with life. This is due to the Isle of Man TT races, one of the most grueling road racing courses in the world. Motorbike racers come from all over the world to test their machines to the limit. Later in the year there is the Manx Grand Prix which may not be as recognized but is just as dangerous. Even when these events are not taking place, there are regular track days up at the race track in Jurby. It takes brave souls to tackle the course but there are many who decide they want to do it. Of course, it takes more than just racers to make the racing. It would not be possible without the many officials, marshals and medics that volunteer their time and effort each year to ensure the smooth running of the racing events and come to the aid of the riders should they ever require it.
